Terms & Conditions

Welcome to DepositShield (“we”, “our”, or “us”).These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, services, and any booking made with DepositShield. By submitting a booking request, using our website, or communicating with us via WhatsApp, you (“the Customer”, “you”) agree to these Terms.

 

1. Description of Services

 

DepositShield provides the following services:End-of-tenancy cleaningMinor repairs (including plumbing, electrical, and painting touch-ups)Move-out photo reportsCoordination of tradespeople for home servicesDepositShield may provide some services directly and may also coordinate licensed third-party service providers (“Tradespeople”) to perform work at your property.

 

2. Booking Requests

 

All bookings submitted through our website or WhatsApp are considered requests, not confirmed appointments.DepositShield will review your request and confirm availability, pricing, and scheduling via WhatsApp.Submission of a booking does not constitute a contractual obligation until confirmed by DepositShield.

 

3. Pricing & Payment

 

3.1 Indicative Pricing. Prices displayed on our website (e.g., cleaning from S$180, plumbing S$90/hr) are indicative and may vary depending on:Property size, Condition of the unit, Scope of repairs, Additional requirements identified through photos or onsite assessment

3.2 Final Pricing. Final pricing will be provided after: Review of your photos and notes, WhatsApp confirmation (If needed) A brief onsite check by the Tradesperson

3.3 Payment Terms. Payment is due immediately upon completion of the job, unless otherwise stated. Accepted payment methods include: PayNow, bank transfer, or other methods communicated to you. DepositShield reserves the right to collect payment directly or on behalf of Tradespeople.

3.4 Urgent Booking Surcharge. Bookings requested within 24–36 hours may incur an Urgent Fee of S$80, subject to availability.

 

4. Access to Property

 

The Customer is responsible for ensuring: Safe and timely access to the premises, water and electricity are available. The unit is in a condition that allows the work to be carried out safely. If the Tradesperson cannot access the property at the confirmed time, a call-out or rescheduling fee may apply.

 

5. Customer Responsibilities

 

You agree to: Provide accurate information and photos during booking. Notify DepositShield of any special conditions (e.g., damage, restricted areas, building access requirements) Ensure the property is safe for service personnel to enterDepositShield is not responsible for delays or additional costs caused by incomplete or inaccurate information.

 

6. Scope of Work

 

The scope of work will be communicated clearly via WhatsApp prior to service. Any additional tasks requested onsite or discovered due to hidden issues may incur additional charges, which will be communicated before proceeding.

 

7. Service Quality & Limitations

 

DepositShield aims to deliver high-quality work, but we cannot guarantee full restoration of pre-existing wear, deep stains, structural issues, or defects caused by long-term use. For repairs, only minor works are covered. Major plumbing/electrical issues requiring licensed specialists may be referred to external vendors. Cleaning results may vary based on condition, age, and prior maintenance of the property.

 

8. Move-Out Reports

 

If you purchase a Move-Out Report: It includes before/after photos and a short written summary. DepositShield provides documentation only and does not act as an arbitrator in deposit disputes.The report does not guarantee deposit return; outcomes depend on landlord/agent discretion.

 

9. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

 

Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment are free of charge. Cancellations made within 24 hours may incur a fee of up to S$50. Urgent same-day bookings are non-refundable once confirmed. DepositShield reserves the right to reschedule in cases of manpower shortage, safety concerns, or unforeseen circumstances.

 

10. Liability & Damages

 

DepositShield and its Tradespeople will take reasonable care when performing services. However, we are not liable for:Pre-existing damage wear and tear, hidden defects discovered during service. Loss of items not removed or secured by the Customer, damage caused by poor installation or property conditions. Our maximum liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the service rendered.

 

11. Third-Party Tradespeople

 

Some services may be performed by independent Tradespeople. You acknowledge and agree that: DepositShield acts as a facilitator. Tradespeople are responsible for workmanship, DepositShield is not liable for delays or issues caused by third-party providers. We will, however, assist in resolving disputes where reasonable.

 

12. Photos, Data & Communications

 

12.1 Use of Photos. By submitting photos or videos via our website or WhatsApp, you consent to DepositShield using them for: Quotation purposes, Service assessment, Job documentation. We will not use your images publicly without explicit permission.

12.2 WhatsApp Communication. You agree to be contacted via WhatsApp for: Quotes, Scheduling, Job status updates, Billing and payment messages.

12.3 PDPA Compliance. All personal data is handled in accordance with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).See our Privacy Policy for full details.

 

13. Termination of Services

 

DepositShield reserves the right to decline or cancel a booking if. The work required falls outside our scope, the environment is unsafe, Information provided is misleading, Payment is not made promptly

 

14. Changes to Terms

 

DepositShield may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the website or services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

 

15. Governing Law

 

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.Any disputes will be resolved in the Singapore courts.
